The OC

Mid February in Utah can be a little bit depressing and the perfect time to take a trip to somewhere warm. This year we met my Mom in Newport Beach for the weekend. What a nice change from the snowstorms and grey skies. Our first day in Orange County we went to the Long Beach Aquarium.

The second day we went to Huntington Beach and walked out on the pier.

The last day we went to Laguna Beach and played in the ocean. Liam had a lot of fun until he was knocked down and beaten up by the waves a bit. As you can see he survived and enjoyed a walk into town.

10th Anniversary

Ben and I just had our 10th anniversary and I was thinking how fun it would be to pick out another ring. Don't you just love this collection?

Staycation

We really wanted to get away somewhere warm but when that's not possible what could be better than a weekend at the Grand?

Kristen's Birthday Bashes

After having dinner at the Paris Bistro down the street Kristen and all came back to the house to have some cake and ice cream. Here are a few photos of Kristen's actual birthday and some other photos taken from the Grand America party.

Christmas 2009

I never quite understood as a child when adults complained about Christmas being so much work and being relieved when it was all over but I definitely understand now. December has been a fun but exhausting month! After bugging Ben for an entire week I finally got him to buy a Christmas tree for the living room. Liam and I took over the task of decorating the tree.

After having a family party at my house and going on the polar express we also were able to meet up with Sam's family and go to The Nutcracker.

I even had enough parties to attend that I purchased a bright red blouse.

Christmas morning finally came and Liam and Lila enjoyed receiving numerous presents.

To top it all off the day after Christmas Sam put on a beautiful party at the Grand America Hotel.

Phew, glad that's all over with.
